Popular Post Ford2112 Posted March 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 20, 2025 Was part of a sampler, I know they are young, that's all. T'was a quiet evening on the waterfront last night, albeit chilly. The wrapper on this thing was impeccable, I must say. Did I mention it was quiet? Not a soul... Had a bit of a tiff with my folks tonight. I'm grateful we were able to talk things out. It isn't lost on me that I am lucky at my age to have be able to have both parents and that we are close. That said, they pissed me off and I needed some cigar time! I have been hearing all this hype about this cigar. Another thing is I have been smoking cigars young. Some of the time that has worked out great. Tonight's was a bit of a different story but I'll get into that. Aroma at cold: barnyard and vanilla. Strange combo lol. I'm getting a sweet butterscotch aroma on the foot. The draw is good, a bit of salt caramel. This is reminding me of a more intense PLPC. Hmmm. I like the size so that's a plus. A bit fat but I think I'm getting used to jaw breakers.😒 1st Third: Slow start to this cigar as it feels a bit muted. Good smoke output. I am getting an interesting caramel note and some cream on the retro. Toast. Nice! Reminds me of a cross between a Trini and a PL. As it progresses I am getting more flavor, smooth toasted tobacco, a buttery almost popcorn type flavor. Think fiddle faddle. Wonder if they have that snack in Mooloolaba or Wooloongaba? 2nd Third: a bit harsh at first, and white pepper on the retro. I am still getting that butterscotch popcorn, wooloongabba fiddle faddle note. I think today I will look up weird Australian names for shits and giggles. Final Third: this cigar needs some down time and I think it will be excellent. As of now its just a bit harsh. I am getting that buttery doughy thing going on but its elusive. Still these are gorgeous cigars, and I have always liked the story and aesthetic of Quai cigars. So I will definitely revisit this, but not anytime soon. 3 stars. 5 stars for Aussie jargon. 8 1
