When Manaea is on he can be spectacular but he was streaky with the Giants.

Here we go!

After being used/shunned by Ohtani and Soto. The Jays finally turned inward and signed a guy who wants to be here. IMO they should have done this years ago. Maybe would saved them $100-$200M. Time wil

Long suffering Reds fan here. Old enough to remember watching the Big Red Machine from the 70's.

He came to the Mets last year and looked at what made Chris Sale so successful for the Braves after injury. It turns out that lowering your arm angle at the point of delivery makes it harder for hitters to judge late movement. Manaea restructured his pitching delivery and hence his success since then.

I don't know. On face value, it looks like an awesome deal for the San Francisco Giants, but if Rafael Devers come to his new team with a continued "me-first" attitude, it's going to look like a great deal for the Boston Red Sox in the long run.

Summing up, he needs to show some leadership qualities in San Francisco. Hitting won't be enough.

I seem to recall hearing a few things about his 'me, me, me' attitude. I would also think that the reality in the clubhouse is worse than what the general public hears. If that is indeed the case, then smart move for Boston I think. Doesn't make it any easier for the fans however.

In other baseball news:

Thought I heard Ohtani is due to pitch later tonight. Curious how he fares without the benefit of a true rehab assignment.

SUPER bummed about my Tigers loosing Jackson Jobe for the year; expectations were really high for this kid. But I guess Tommy John comes for them all nowadays.

@JohnS We have the Mets in town for a three game set this weekend. Big series for both teams before heading into All Star break.

I think the Mets would just be glad that they have Sean Manaea and Kodai Senga pitching this weekend.

I haven’t watched much baseball this year. Growing up in Vegas I grew up an A’s and Braves fan. Looking forward to the A’s move to Vegas. Now living in Denver for the past 20 years I’ve naturally followed the Rockies. They are abysmal. I did watch the Yankees and Mariners last night. The work Devin Williams did was impressive!

They certainly are. Nice stadium though. I have been to 2 games there all decked out in my Giants gear and bashing all those rag tag fans. There is no dignity in Denver when it comes to baseball!

Good game at Kauffman Stadium. Wacha has been pitching well.

Indeed. And Bobby Witt Jr is continuing a hot run of form with the bat!

Typical outing for the Royals this season. Leading late in the game and then give up seven runs in the 8th and 9th innings.

Last night's game against LA was insane! Big series for us and of course the Plodgers are going to give us all we can handle. Pitching is good albeit a good break here will do good. Adames and Lee had big nights last night. I love my team. But they make me insane sometimes giving up an 8-2 lead. Game at 1:05.

Follow up. Dammit!

We blew 2 games there.

Coors Field is awesome. There has been some talented players come through. They just don’t focus on player development. Monfort family should sell the team. And don’t get me started on the average Colorado sports fan…

Devers better start hitting. But yes we need a first baseman with a bat.
