JohnS Posted Thursday at 07:00 AM Posted Thursday at 07:00 AM If you have the Rabbit Air A3 Model, note that the company will be releasing updated filters for the product in the last week of March... Rabbit Air Updates Filter for A3 Model March 12, 2025 - Charlie Minato Later this month, Rabbit Air will begin selling an updated version of its filter for the company’s flagship A3 air purifier. The new Dual Hive AC filter, pictured on the left, is an updated version of the carbon filter stage that the air purifiers use. The original design—pictured on the right—had one layer of carbon pellets, separated into hexagonal pods that look like honeycombs. The new design features two layers in an offset configuration, which the company says creates substantially more surface area for the pellets to come in contact with the air being cleaned. The carbon pellets serve a variety of crucial functions when it comes to cleaning the air, including the important step of odor removal. Rabbit Air says that the new filter will feature smaller pellets and thinner frame walls. Combined, they work to reduce the pressure drop, which improves airflow efficiency despite the second layer of filtering. Each Rabbit Air A3 uses five filters. The prefilter screen is designed to remove large debris and is meant to be cleaned, not replaced. The company sells filter kits that come with four disposable filters: the aforementioned carbon filter, a medium filter, a HEPA filter and one of five different custom filters aimed at different use cases. The company recommends the Odor Remover option for tobacco smoke. Rabbit Air is keeping the price of the filter kits the same: $115.95 for the four filter kit, which the company says should last around one year if the unit runs 24/7. The new filter kits will go on sale on March 25. A spokesperson for the company told halfwheel that due to the design, it won’t be able to bring the same improvements to the MinusA2 filters, Rabbit Air’s legacy model. riazp Posted Thursday at 04:18 PM Posted Thursday at 04:18 PM I've been looking at the A3, anyone here have this and what are your thoughts? I was thinking about buying one for my garage for winter time when I want to smoke. I'm currently using a air purifier that I bought off amazon and it's doing a decent job and then use a lampe berger for any residual smell. Does this do a better job of eliminating all odor?
