It's probably fine, there are other ways to verify users either as members of the forum or just as humans.

Pretty easy to cheese the 25 post count though, as you can see.

I like the 25! I don’t always have anything to say, but enjoy thumbing through while smoking a stick and seeing what others have to say.

I picked 5 and after consideration I agree as well. Even though I'm nowhere close, 25 seems like a good barrier.
