Popular Post eaglebear29 Posted January 14 Popular Post Posted January 14 Sombremesa brûlée blue 6.25 x 46 Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut Binder: Mexican Filler:Nicaraguan Very floral and the initial smell and cold draw. I can tell this is gonna be a smooth one. Initial light up: Real creamy, one of the creamiest Nicaraguans I’ve ever had. Unlike any other. Maintaining a decent burn line despite the wind here. Shortbread soaked in crème with a tad of coffee, the coffee being barely noticeable. Slight cedar and sweetness on the retro. End of first 3rd: Getting faint notes of creme cashew and hazelnut, that hazelnut now tastes of a white chocolate covered macadamia nut. What a great experience so far. Main tones being creamy with a slight coffee note reminding me of an affogato. (Ice creme sprinkled with nuts with an espresso poured on top). Finally the ash fell and with the wind burning it quicker than usual, it’s still tastes amazing. More cedar spice on the retro. Can do without retro-hailing this one. I rarely do, but out of curiosity since it’s so good. End of Second 3rd: More white chocolate covered macadamia in the affogato now. Incredibly smooth and building in strength. It was a single shot, now it’s a double. Amazingly balanced with the ice creme. End of Final 3rd: Slight crushed coffee beans sprinkled on top of the creamy affogato, the nuts dance in and out with every sip. Amazing how it can sway back and forth with every puff. Has been one of my most complex cigars yet. Nuts and cream are great. Awesome how much more nuts came out in the final third. The flavors really build at the end adding a third shot of espresso while staying ever so smooth. Wow. Final thoughts: A crescendo cigar. What an amazing cigar experience in beautiful Californian weather. Now I can’t wait to try another without the wind. The brûlées are the regular Sombremesas, but aged an extra year in the warehouse. I’ve heard they were sweet tipped, then looked into it and found Saka said in an interview that he only did that to a few per box (3 if I remember correctly) to mess with people, creating a fun troll. These seem to me like a very aged smoke already reminds me of a smooth aged plpc with different flavors of course. Great aged tobacco taste. A cigar with no harsh edges. Very, very, smooth. Nub/Pipe worthy: Absolutely. Faint hints of cedar with cream and coffee. Smoke time: 1hr 25min 96/100 18

I’m about to get a few reg boxes and age them. I have 2 of the Brûlée Blue, just wish they the regular line in the blue size. All the others are 50ring gauge and above. The 46 x 6.25 is awesome. What’s your favorite size of the of the other vitolas? 20 hours ago, teamrandr said: Made me want to try one now! Yeah you better! It’s awesome! Think I wanna stick up a little more now.

I usually smoke the Robusto, most because its a not too long of smoke. The toro smokes similar just close to a 2hr smoke for me. I only smoked on DC and just thought it tasted watered down and way too long of a smoke time. 1

I’ll try that one next in the sombremesa line up.
