Popular Post JohnS Posted December 25, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 25, 2024 December 24, 2024 - Charlie Minato Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Santiago Opens in the Dominican Republic There’s a new hotel in Santiago and inside is the second location of the Arturo Fuente Cigar Club. Please note: the video above is in Spanish without subtitling. The hotel is simply called Hotel Santiago, a new Curio Collection by Hilton property located in the downtown area of Santiago de los Caballeros. The Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Santiago is the second Fuente-branded lounge in the country; the other is located in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic’s capital. This location will serve Santiago, the city that is home to nearly every Dominican cigar factory, including Arturo Fuente’s sprawling operation, which is located less than five miles away. The Arturo Fuente Cigar Club was founded in 1996, a partnership between the Fuente family and Ciro A. Cascella, who now serves as president of Arturo Fuente. The original Santo Domingo location is a large standalone building with two stories, multiple seating areas and what is essentially a large dining room. The new location in Santiago is smaller, though includes both indoor and outdoor smoking areas, a full bar and a humidor to purchase cigars, albeit only Arturo Fuente cigars. This lounge will be managed in partnership with the Hotel Santiago, which is owned by Green Earth Investments Ltd., which has ties to the Ágora Mall in Santo Domingo. In addition to the Arturo Fuente Cigar Club, the hotel also includes Barrancoli Restaurant and a poolside bar. Early next year, the Santiago Center Mall—which is described as a sister to Ágora Mall—will open next door to the 177-room hotel. Both the lounge and hotel have opened as part of a soft launch; the hotel will fully open next month. El Hoze Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 My wife is from Santiago. I remember the first time I went to visit her family the hotel options were pretty limited to say the least, this would have been a much better option!!! One of the best places to smoke a cigar and eat, I would argue, is Saga in Santiago. I hang out there every day when I am in town. I will have to add this to the rotation. The Fuente family is very well known and respected in town, no doubt this place will do well as Santiago’s economy seems to be very strong. 2
