Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 17, 2024 Nice run on the SP Belicoso currently. This box was something that I would put away. Aroma...intoxicating Construction...in the hand they feel 9/10 Great to see 👍 10

sbsbsb1 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Different strokes for different folks, I suppose! I just won a box of SP Belicosos on 24:24, and hope/pray I don't get a box from this run! These look way too dark and rough for my personal preference...I have always preferred smooth/lighter wrappers personally. @El Presidente, genuinely curious for your insight given your experience. What does this look indicate to you in terms of flavor and burn? (All things being equal, which of course they never are, ha!)

I love SP Belis; So long as the wrapper is not thick/rough (it isn't here), I prefer the sweeter profile of Colorado Maduro with Sancho. Works perfectly with my Molinos/Belis as it increases the contrast between the saltiness and the sweetened cream. As you say, 'Different strokes for different folks.' 1

Not meaning to say those aren't tasty cigars, but the perfect Sancho Beli for me comes with a silky-smooth seamless wrapper and in a shade as closely as possible camouflaging the (old) band.
BrightonCorgi Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 The darker SP Beli seems to be the saltier tasting which is what I like in them. The current box I have is lighter shaded and I am not digging them much. Nothing special. Is there are particular finca that produces wrappers with more mineral residue on them? Is it a curing technique?
