Some years ago, a NorthWest flight crew on their way to MSP and the airplane were pulled over and given DUI tickets. Later that same week, I was on a NW flight out of Minneapolis. When the beverage cart came by, I remarked “get me what the captain is having, make it a double!”

An uproar of laughter in the cabin didn’t soothe the fact that they didn’t serve me as much as cup of water for the entire flight.
