Popular Post NSXCIGAR Posted May 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 19, 2024 It seems every CC review from HW is two good sticks and one bad one that knocks the score way down. It's certainly not unsual to get 1 stick that's not quite as good out of 3 but seriously, when's the last time you had box with 17 good cigars and 8 terrible ones? I'm just saying it seems to be a recurring theme with HW. That said I tried an Epi 3 at the Festival and they are really interesting cigars. I was pleasantly surprised since I'm not a Hoyo fan. Very unique profile that's like a HU Connie + Hoyo EE. Terrible vitola though. 5
Li Bai Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 What would be the point on praising CCs for HW anyway? Their readers are mostly from the US and as such they're not supposed to smoke them. 😉 1

They must be looking for three very different looking/feeling sticks if going from the same box. But it seems like it happens very often with their reviews. 22 hours ago, NSXCIGAR said: Terrible vitola though. Yes. Personally I love hoyo. But I have no interest in trying these just because of the vitola. 1

I've always felt it likely that they're likely smoking their Cuban cigars at too high of a humidity >66%, increasing the failure rate significantly. We're going to review this cigar in July. 3
Marco_011t556 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Had 3 sticks already, IMO, as new cigars released, I prefer Wide Edmundo LOL. 4
rascalmonkey Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Smoked one ROTT and it was nice, but very similar to the Epi 2, so probably not worth the extra expense. 1 2
