I'm looking forward to seeing genuine Linea Maestra line...been seeing quite some FULL boxes (assume they are not genuine?) in Canada, Hong Kong.

Heard generally good things from last year's Festival sampler but pre-release can often differ from the final versions.

I was given a final release Rito over the weekend in Havana. I've had a cold so been unable to sample but I'll update here when I've tried it.

I’m hopeful the price tag comes with great quality. Are you guys sold on the branding? The blue tones vs Partagas red?

I saw boxes being sold during the festival and I am grateful to friends that shared a few sticks recently. I must say that I am impressed with the quality of this cigar and must say that as a premium line from the global brands this is a step above the MC 1935 and RJ Linea D’oro.

Another thing to appreciate is the fact that the tobacco is single origin all sourced from one region. Habanos had many disappointments recently from LCDH exclusives to Year of “x” releases but this gives me hope.

I agree that the choice of color is awkward but I can live with it. I hope to see a Hoyo and Upmann special line. This has set the bar high.

Does it have classic Partagas DNA? Because those Linea D' Oro cigars seem like a total different line to me.

I would say different but I don’t mind it really. Still a good stick overall.

For the price they better light themselves. "Partagas Blue, lights itself for you!"

I agree, the LdO taste like a different brand to me as well. I liked the Hidalgos and didn't like the Nobles and haven't tried the Dianas. The Monte 1935 I just can't get into. I don't think they're using higher quality leaf than is typically used for Monte. Maybe a more "full" blend but the 1935s I've had I find very one-dimensional and boring.

I'll be interested to see how this Rito is and how close to Partagas DNA it is and if it's higher quality leaf. I should be able to try it in the next few days.
