Rather just challenging the terminology Put simply. The Nordic Model of government interests me, and I hope one day the UK could move in that direction. There is a huge amount of commie bashing that goes on, on this forum, and whilst I'm not defending communism (or suggesting the forum should change in anyway) it is frustrating to see the baby go out with the bathwater, and the concrete reality that aspects of socialism have positively benefited society. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion, rather just create a balance. Increasingly, I agree with you that balance is not desired and just serves as an irritant to other members, so I will stop.
El Presidente Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 I do prefer the Swiss model than the other socialist nordic models. Progressive tax rate with the highest level at 36%. Ranked 3rd in the world for education, high productivity, low unemployment, high wages. Not completely predicated on taxation focused on labor and consumption. 4
