Counterfeiter busted in Miami

It's amazing really just how much of this goes on in and around Miami. For those that don't live in Florida, (I'm about 2 hours away) there has always been a big cigar culture around the Miami area. There is even a local barber that encourages cigar smoking while getting your hair cut.

"I have a friend" who routinely goes down there and purchases "authentic" Cuban cigars by the box in some parking lot. Last week he was handing out RyJ Anejos on the golf course. He knows that I collect cigars and told me he could get me a box for $350. As you might guess, I politely declined. I've warned him before about all of the scams out there but he is certain that "his friend" has a source in Cuba.

It just goes to show you that old adage of "it's easy to separate a fool from his money" is still in play despite all the great information on the internet.

In addition, Miami has a HUGE Cuban population. So, "of course" they have a connection back home.
