I love smoking them but I also love collecting them, taking care of them and selecting different cigars for different occasions.  Do I have a mid life crises or is this normal?  Any remedies other than getting broke or getting divorced 😀?

Sounds like you are doing good to me. May I add the oh so often, just staring into the window of the humidor for a quick check up on them, and the wife reminds you that you've been staring at them for quite some time now....😆

If any FOH friend is in Washington DC, let me know, we have a great cigar lounge we can go to.

I believe it is time to add a walkin humidor for you my friend. Hall closets work nice. 😄 👍

I have one and 3 box humidors and one that I snuck from my wife at office. I'm really running out of options.

Occasionally in town on business. I typically hit Shelly’s, but would love suggestions.

Nice! Is there a unfinished basement? 😄

I've considered converting a bedroom into a smoking man cave, and dividing out room in there for a walkin as well 👍

Such an awesome hobby!

Slow and steady my friend, I’m a smoker that likes to age things…. Collecting implies investment and I like to keep that separate from my hobbies. Anyways, all I do is buy 10-15% more inventory than I need for regular smoking. In a few years you won’t know what happened and the humidor will be full.

I stumbled on this one online while looking for a place to smoke while I am in town. It seems it's member only, no occasional smoke? Also, can you bring your own with a minimum order of drinks/food? It's pretty common practice where I am. Thanks

I always tell my wife that I love the "hunt" almost more than my hobbies. I've jumped hobbies a lot. From sneakers, Pokemon cards, whiskey, tequila, cigars, BBQ pits. But I just love chasing stuff for some reason. I'm finally starting to slow that down a bit and just try to enjoy the stuff that I've accumulated. Cigars have been the longest running hobby at this point though. I always seem to come back to that one.

That is great to hear that cigars outlasted the others😀. I agree with you, it is all about the hunt and satisfaction is lost as soon as you acquire the product. That is why I switched some of my energy to things like diving and underwater photography to get some more inspirational and rewarding addictions. So I chose a different shark destination around the work and I plan it a year in advance (maybe it was my wife idea to get rid of me). The bad news is I am still addicted to cigars. 😅😅

A really good line for concerned partners is: this stuff is getting more and more valuable, I can always sell it at a profit.

That’s a fact! Unless of course you smoke 75% of what you buy each year. 🤯

I was like that. The amount of cigars I had at one point was ridiculous. Always chasing everything down. All the oldest and rarest shit I could find. Not much I haven’t tried over the years. The search was never ending, spent mucho dinero. That was almost 20 years ago and it lasted for quite some time. The only thing I care about nowadays is buying what I need to smoke this year, and age a percentage of it. I know what I like, so it’s fairly easy for me nowadays and the endless searching is a thing of the past, and I’m honestly very happy about that.
