Popular Post RDB Posted February 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2024 Partagas… because they are so reliably good, because I love the just off-savoury balance, and because there is always enough interest in the blend to keep me coming back again and again. Also there are classics in every size category, from the Lusitania, through E2 and D4, down to the wonderful Shorts. I’ve never managed to score the 898s though, in years of trying. This E2 is the first of a 5ct box, SOU AGO 20. I have some good Shorts from the same code. The E2 size is not usually my favourite vitola, but it really works here. It’s a bit more refined than a D4, sort of between there and a Lusi. Bready, twangy, mild red peppers and warm sandy earth. Body is under medium to start with and gently builds to medium. Burn pretty good but not perfect (that little nick made no difference). Classic Partagas wrapper colour, a warm orangey colorado. The youth makes itself felt with a little bite in the last third, but this is only a promise of more to come with time. Excellent. Score 1 on the binary scale. 9
MagicalBikeRide Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Love these. Top 5 regular product cigar for me.
chasy Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Haven’t had the privilege yet. Eager to get my hands on some.
JohnS Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Likewise, I have found the Partagas marca quite reliable for some time now. And I've appreciated this marca more ever since Habanos S.A. increased prices sharply in mid-2022! 1

Li Bai Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 For me this E2 has always been a coin flip... Greatness or total void... I don't buy them by the box, i prefer carefully choosing a handful when i see beautiful ones.
david9985 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Nice review, thanks! I've long been a fan of the binary scoring.
