I'll spark one up this Saturday to celebrate making it to 57 years. The one smoked ROTT was a month ago. Perhaps they have evolved a bit, we'll see

Happy birthday, enjoy! I am smoking a cañonazo now definitely no spice on it with the SG on the mind I believe you’ll start to see a noticeable difference.

@Tradesman I believe when you revisit you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I always recommend a trip to Italy while you wait for new cigars to acclimate, solid plan well done!!!

Canonazo is my favorite so far, and I'm typically not a large format smoker. That cigar has tons of thick smoke, tons of flavor on the palate. I'm definitely a fan.

I went deep on the cañonazo and will definitely be buying more! I could smoke them every day!

After five weeks rest in my humidor Spada Gorda greatly improved.  I ordered another box today.  I am convinced these will be a main cigar for me.  I smoked a few with a friend who is a connoisseur with 12 years experience and he was also delightfully surprised.  Some of them are almost flawless, others requiring a touch up or two and a relight or two. Lately staying medium through the three thirds., and offering delicate flavours and notes...earth...breadiness...coffee.  Delightfully subtle and well-behaved in first third, then some work and attention required in middle third, and much less in last third.

Coming along very nicely 😉

They needed that time down.... more than Carlota and PC. About the same time down needed  as canonazo (60 ish days). Spada has joined PC and Carlota as a regular rotation cigar.

We are still learning 👍

Having the same experience right now.

When I first got it I gave it a weak 5/10.

Coming back to it 1.5 months later and I've smoked it over Cubans multiple times in a row.

Awesome cigar and will be a regular part of the rotation.

Petition for the wheels of 50!

Saw this post return to the main page and pulled the first of my Spada Gordas at exactly 60 days rest.  I actually, successfully refrained from smoking one ROTT.  The first half was absolutely lovely, burnt perfectly.  Black coffee and just smooth - a little darker flavor than the Mareva IV.  I did not get any sweetness which I was looking for as the Marevas are now showing that at > 120 days in the humi.  The back half  of the Spada Gorda was still a little moist, had a few touch-ups, and was mostly just a darker tobacco flavor.  Didn't nub this one yet - but it'll get there.  Kept them in their packaging in the humi at 65% since I received them -- I need to find a cabinet to continue resting them in for the longer term.  After 30 days I found an old NC cabinet that fit for the Canonazos and now that they are > 150 days they are the sweetest (and my favorite) of the current Puro Desnudos line coming out of the humi; at least at this point in time.

Number one overall is still the Nudies Maduro Lancero from the 2021 release.  I have a hard time keeping my hands off that one as I look into the humi for a cigar.
