Popular Post Chucko8 Posted September 26, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2023 Sunday morning and time for a coffee with a quick cigar prior to the kids chasing me to head down to the beach. Figured it was time for that Short Story which I had picked up a few months back from a store in town. Should be just the right amount of time before the beach. Diving straight in and I’m greeted with some light and easy cedar and grass notes with some flickering sweetness. Soon settles and the sweet develops into a milky chocolate which is very pleasant. Mid way now and there is still not been any pepper like spice and on the retro I detect hay and some coffee notes. The milky chocolate sweet is still about and the cigars is really quite pleasing and easy. The end section becomes a bit darker and some leathery notes are on display but still just eases on and I took it down till my fingers were tickled. Oh so on the short aspect of it, I actually over ran according to the kids wanting to hit the beach earlier. Took 50 minutes instead of the 40 I’d promised them. Still made it to the beach though and I thoroughly enjoyed my cigar time. 8
gormag38 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 I must say, the AF Short Story is the one NC stick that I go back to time and again. (actually it's the only NC stick I've ever bought a box of) They're wonderful little sticks and consistent EVERY TIME. 3

Similarly, this was one of the first cigars I ever bought for myself when I was still 18/19, and the first that really spoke to me. When I picked cigars back up in my 30’s this was the very first box I bought. So like you guys, very fond memories. 1
