Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted August 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2023 amazing stuff. i'd be very careful of crocs in some of those places. this is a sensational little film. i crossed that river in a truck on a wooden barge about 35 years ago. the Cameroons was an amazing place. incredibly dense jungle, astonishing wildlife. sadly we were not fishing. we did buy a Nile perch from a market in Tanzania shortly after (not quite that size but close) - one of the guys had worked in several Michelin starred restaurants. sadly, not even he could make it taste good. dull, muddy flavours. awful to eat. 4 2
99call Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Wow, Thank you for posting that Ken, truly incredible. Although it very ably served a purpose as a fishing video, its bigger energy was sort of like a love letter to how special and the place and surrounding nature was. It's magic when you feel transported by art, and the film definitely achieved that. How sad is it, that there are still people on the planet unmoved by this magnificence and still content to see the earth as a dustbin for their consumption.
yungchef Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Awesome video featuring some amazing people! A trip out there must be something special.
