Popular Post Wailbait Posted July 31, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2023 Twist my arm, why don’t you. Smoke one of your favorite cigars. I have loved this cigar for many years and I LOVE this format. It’s a shame that this and the Monte 3 are the only real Coronas left. I haven’t tried any of these cigars since the 2017 rebrand and I am excited to do so one day. I have had a couple of the Quai 50 and I liked them. Not only do I happen to love this blend and format but, for whatever reason, Quai Coronas from 2013-2015 are the MOST consistent cigar out there. Wrapper, flavor, burn, draw. It’s always great and I have very few duds. Ain’t she pretty? Well the color and texture of the wrapper is sublime. At opening it’s actually quite mild. It does have that characteristic spicy sweetness but something happened that was interesting. Two days ago I had a PLPC from the same period (April 2014). I was really surprised how similar the two cigars tasted! Quais are typically milder and PLPC are very tannic when young but somehow, after nearly a decade, the two had a kind of spiced sweetness. Both VERY COMPELLING. The back half of the cigar ramped up in strength but otherwise very consistent. I got some hints of citrus and orange peel toward the end. Boy do I love this cigar. Easy 94. 15
sethw.ross Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 My god enjoy friend! In contrast I’ve only had 2018 and newer and glad the brand has stayed consistent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Arabian Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 hints of citrus and orange is exactly what I get with QdO, I’m a sucker for citrus/ creamy texture which I usually get with them. Perfect as a morning and noon cigars. Sadly sometimes they don’t get the love they deserve. Cardboard cigars :(. 2

I think the general consensus is that 2017 is the best year after the rebrand, 18 was good, 19 was a down year, and 20+21 are potential competitors against 2017. 1
Ford2112 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 I had a 21 box that I couldn't keep my hands off of. 1
