Popular Post Ford2112 Posted May 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 29, 2023 I got a handful of Dianas and Nobles last year. I have no idea the dates . I decided to review my first Dianas after a long nap. The first impression at cold draw is what I look for in a cigar, some resistance and these smell amazing. Nice oily wrapper. And quality tobacco. I am a fan of the marque so I was looking forward to this. Fireplace going . Quiet evening. 1st third: Twang! Lots of it. Smooth and balanced as I got into it,although it took a bit to kind of open up. I am getting leather. Spice on the edges and some bread notes. 2nd third: I feel like these probably need a lot of time to develop ,but I can tell the blending is excellent. I would put this cigar at medium body, lots of smoke output. Excellent construction on this cigar. Razor burn. Toasty notes and I'm surprised how different this cigar is along the RyJ line. It's not showing that cherry note. More refined and definitely holding back. Curious how they age. Final third is revealing a bit if harshness so I slow my smoking down. It settled down, above medium now, with some white pepper joining in. It's been a very pleasant smoke to say the least. I predict the ones I have to be special in a couple years. Some cherry sweetness surprised me with about an inch and a half left. I love the bands on these . Classy smoke. 94 points. I can see them hitting 98,and I don't say that lightly. Dianas. Try one. Speaking of Dianas happy birthday @WarriorPrincess!😊 7
NSXCIGAR Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 The few LdOs I've had I also would never think they were RyJ. Could easily be a different brand altogether. The Monte 1935 to me is Monte DNA and I'm curious to see how the Party LM is. 1 1
