Popular Post Cigar-Therapy Posted May 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 8, 2023 Spent this year’s Kentucky Derby with the wife running a cigar bar for a local charity. Being in South Carolina - we are surrounded by manor style homes. The event was hosted at a manor and gardens built in 1883. It was a semi exclusive affair - with only a couple hundred tickets available. Out of all the events we have done - the conversion rate for cigars was the best. Maybe it’s the fanciness of the event or the warm weather. Nothing made me happier than looking above the gardens around the manor and seeing puffs of smoke coming up! While I had NC for the guests - I spent most of my time with a Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill and a RASS. I did not anticipate the RyJ to pair so well with the free flowing mint juleps. I should’ve known - it was a dynamo combo between the cherry and rosewater flavors and the mint and sweetness from the mint julep. thanks to FOH for letting me share. Background: A little over 18 months ago I started a side business that would provide no-cost cigar bars to charity events and return net profits to the hosting charity. With the goal trying to improve the normalization of cigars in my local community. 22
