HABANOS S.A. SELECTS THREE CIGARS FOR EDICIÓN LIMITADA 2023

Historically, Habanos S.A. creates three new cigars each year for its Edición Limitada program. In 2020, that longstanding tradition was disrupted as the Cuban cigar company released only one new cigar as part of the program.

Three new cigars were announced for 2021, seemingly putting the program back on track, but there were no Edición Limitada cigars announced in 2022. Furthermore, at the Festival del Habano XXIII in March 2023—the annual Cuban cigar festival where these cigars are typically announced—there was no mention of new Edición Limitadas.

As illuded to in the article, these were first announced to distributors in early-2022. They would have been unveiled at the festival last year had it gone ahead. They have been on CCW since then as 2022s.

As things transpired the festival didn't happen and they were never announced, and in the list that went out this year they have been updated to 2023s, so earlier this week I updated them.

We are still waiting on 2/3 of the 2021s, and I gather HSA considers these things to be subject to change until they do a public press release, so they may yet become 2024s or 2025s.
