Popular Post joeypots Posted April 24, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 24, 2023 The MC#3, a corona, is just one half inch longer than the more popular sibling the #4. I do think the half inch helps the vitola feel more like what my bias says a cigar should feel like. Somehow marevas, minutos , and perlas, just don’t appeal to me. I don’t know why, they just don’t. Not that I don’t have any marevas, they just seem kinda puny to me. This #3 with just over five years of box age is right in the zone of where I like my cigars and construction looked perfect. It was, though, hard as a rock from the middle to the head and while I could get some smoke after I lit it I gave it a good ream with a draw poker and got a much better draw. Flavors were typical Monte Cristo. Creamy bean and spice with a little tanginess that didn’t change much for the 75 minutes it took to smoke. Usually I find that if I have to open up a cigar with a tool it smokes hot, has a wonky burn, or splits open. Not this one. It was excellent, everything a MC should be and if it had only been constructed better I’d give it 5 stars. 4 stars and I hope the remainder of my stock taste as good as this one. 9 1
