Popular Post Wailbait Posted April 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2023 Due to increased costs and terrible weather in Los Angeles, I’ve found myself smoking far less. But it was so glorious that I needed to stay outside and enjoy myself. I got this particular box from BR last year and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’ve felt that 2013 and 2014 are among the best years of the last 15. Since this was a partial box and because it was a small size, I was able to grab it for a pretty fair price. I’m sure those times have passed. Just look at her. Ain’t she a beaut? Great weight, fill and sheen. I am so delighted to be able to spend a nice hour. The draw is perfect too. I made a nice Manhattan to go with this cigar. At first light I’m just so impressed. It starts mildly but clean and .5” in, the flavors fall in lockstep and hold well til the end. It’s an earthy cigar with surprising power. There’s no way I could smoke this cigar with anything less than 5 years of age to it. About halfway through some fruity notes start to enter and really pair nicely with the vinous notes of the Manhattan. This cigar is just a solid 93 and would honestly be even higher if it had more tobacco or was just s little longer. It’s as good as a minuto can be. 8 1
Wailbait Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 I haven’t tried any of the recent production but have heard great things. All I can say is the 3 boxes I have from 13-14 are all great. In fact, I can’t even recall a dud one yet.
Texwrangler Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I’ve picked up two cabs of shorts from BR this past year. Reasonably priced plus nice age to them. I reach for them now more than any others as they have become my go to 45 minute smoke.
