Russia will sell products to Cuba through a trading house

Moscow, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The head of the Russia-Cuba business council, Boris Titov, announced in this capital that his country will market food, chemical products and other household items in the island through a special trading house.

 

 

According to Prensa Latina, Titov, who met with the Cuban ambassador in Moscow, Julio Garmendía, added that one of these projects consists of creating a joint venture with the Cuban state corporation Cimex .

‘Many Russian manufacturers are interested in promoting their products in Cuba. We expect the new trading house to be a unified wholesale importer of products and independently determine prices in the Caribbean nation’s retail market, Titov recalled.

Havana has already granted preliminary consent in this regard, and Moscow is currently waiting for a contract to be signed, the signing of which will make it possible to make progress in solving complicated logistical problems such as the transportation of Russian goods and insurance, he stressed.

Titov pointed out that another sphere of bilateral cooperation is tourism, as the flow of Russian vacationers to Cuba is gradually recovering, and the possibility of building an independent hotel especially for travelers from this nation is currently being assessed.
