Any recommendations on cigars similar in profile to a young PLPC? How do the Galanes compare?

I just had my second PLPC from an Oct 2022 Cab and it was again, absolutely stunning in flavor. I intentionally picked an underfilled example as I was a little shorter on time than I would have liked. It still blew me away with the rich sweetness, toasted tobacco, and almost candied hazelnut flavors I got in the first third. Poor burn about half way through only put a minor damper on the enjoyment and it corrected by the last third, returning to a sweet toasted nut/tobacco profile, albeit more one-dimensional than the initial third. It certainly packs a kick as well.

Cheers!

Obviously the PLMC is fairly close but the Galanes is more refined, less intense and I don't get much of that caramel sweetness. Forget the Picadores--different animal entirely.

I feel like the box of Galanes I have from 22 needs rest. Either that or they suck. Time will tell.

Thank you. Yes, I had read that about the Galanes (and the Picadores), which is why I have been hesitant to grab a box, but I may just for the sake of it. The PLMC I've had have all been older, so I just need to try and snag a box on 24:24, if I can ever get an email off fast enough. Ha.

Ha. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
