Hi guys,

Hope everyone is fine. I need your expertise. What do you think about those? For the context it's an old dude selling his stuff. The cardboard is missing. The rest of the stuff he has and i have seen seems legit but i ve a doubt with those. Thanks.

The photos is of course of low quality. But I noticed this: in those years there was a mess with stickers and stamps of factories. Someone glued Habanos tapes only on cardboard, someone both on cardboard and on a lacquered box. But if the tapes were pasted on the lacquered box, then the warranty seal was also pasted. It is no here, it's suspicious.

The joints of the bands and the stamp of the factory are also suspicious.

I have no expertise, but the bands look odd, they haven't been cut uniformly, the lower black line width is inconsistent.

The pictures might not make them justice, but there's also no gold sheen on those bands. they look a bit flat.

Disregarding the above, these go for big money on BR, the seller should have some type of receipt or background story on these that makes sense. I think that would be the deal breaker or sealer for me. Provenance.

Look forward to hearing more experiences members comments.

Thank you guys. For me it s more about learning than about gathering information to buy em. I wouldn't buy anything that a not from a reputable source, and unfortunately there aren't many to my opinion. I want trustworthy source with proof of payment.

I've seen code font wonky like that many times for boxes of that early-mid 2000s era. That alone wouldn't worry me. I don't see anything else in high enough resolution that jumps out at me.

That said, these are one of--if not the--most faked cigar of the last 20 years. One of the few cigars that someone would put serious resources into faking. I would simply avoid them unless the box was perfect and provenance was solid. I would most definitely want the outer cardboard packaging to be present as well.

As far as buying for personal use there's a fairly decent chance that even if they are legit they would be disappointing. For the kind of money these go for I would be extremely hesitant.
