The next one of the most expensive coffee machines by Super Veloce is Flat Six. It is called Boxer Engine in other words and includes 6 cylinders – 3 on each side, that are fixed horizontally. When it is a working process, it feels like the right and left sides of the machine do a sort of fight like boxers, moving their gloves against each other when the start of the round is given. a mate who is a fanatic about his coffee and has the dosh to enjoy it got himself some whizzbang machine that cost him $20K. still wasn't happy. so that got moved to the garage and he bought a $40K one. no idea what. now he is happy. but he has every bell and whistle imaginable. his roasting machine thing is linked to a company's computer in norway to monitor it and so on. he is a research scientist so all this sort of stuff fascinates him. computers regulate the grinding down to exact sizes. and also the water temperature down to about 18 decimal points.

he has promised i can do an article about him and his coffee.

personally, my simple machine does okay.

I'll second the drip coffee, just fine out of a $60 Krupps machine.  My wife uses an even less expensive French Press.  But the quality of the water and the beans that get freshly ground is high.
