King Salmon Fishing ,California

Managed to.get in a short trip with some good friends on the Klamath river last weekend.  Weather was perfect!  The fishing wasn't what we had hoped for but we managed a few bright kings. All released.

Normally those would have been in the box but quota was met so they closed the take to adult salmon. Some of our crew did keep some jack salmon under 24 inches. I was mostly after steelhead myself. We ate sashimi grade Yellowfin Tuna and Toro Bluefin tuna on the grill with Mexican style corn on the cob if that is any consolation 😋
