Popular Post El Presidente Posted July 18, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 18, 2022 VAMPIRE SLAYING KIT While not definitive proof that vampires exist, whoever built this vampire slaying kit took them very seriously. The kit was first owned by Lord Hailey, born in 1872 and the administrator of British India from 1924 to 1928. Inside the unadorned, velvet-lined wooden box is everything one would need to ward off and/or kill the undead: Several crucifixes, a bottle for holy water, mirror, hammer and stake, Bible, rosary beads, and candle stick 4 2
cgoodrich Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 @Elpresidente, I love the set of pistols as well. Obviously to shoot a werewolf with a silver musket ball! 2
Jack Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 These "vampire killing kits" really do strain the bounds of credulity, which the British Museum appears to confirm: https://britishlibrary.typepad.co.uk/english-and-drama/2014/11/history-at-stake-vampire-slaying-at-the-british-library.html
Fuzz Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 A friend was presented one on his wedding day as a gag gift.... by his father in law. We all thought it was hilarious, my mate's new wife and mother in law were not as impressed. Not surprising, they have separated (though may get back together), and he still goes on fishing trips with his ex father and brother in laws. They all get on great. 2
