Popular Post dominattorney Posted April 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 24, 2022 Golf season again boys and girls, so I took Friday afternoon off to do battle with the wind and try one of these babies ROTT for the review competition. These arrived above 2 weeks ago so its not ROTT but close enough for me, when I usually try to acclimate for 30 or 90 days. Someone mentioned this in another thread, and I tend to agree, it's not necessary to do it unless they're really wet, or in my opinion warm on arrival. However they usually are both when they get to me unless they arrive in the dead of winter. I have plenty of stock and usually order a new box once the current one gets to the 10 count level so I generally don't dip into a new box for 9 months to a year or however long it takes to finish the old one. Anyways this one needed more time. Really close draw that I blame on the moisture content, wet flavors to boot. I might be just sour grapes though because the 60 mph gusts of wind were causing a bit of a struggle on the course and in all aspects. Lighting the cigar was fun. It blew out of my mouth once too. The wrapper after halfway through blew off in three pieces. My golf ball blew from a stop 15 feet from the hole as I walked up to it into a lake. I decided to just give up. Before being de wrappified by the wind, I was getting wet hay and earth with bitter coffee flavors throughout. Needed dry boxing. May try another ROTT cigar after dry boxing for 5 days and compare. Not rateable to me and not memorable. These will be better once they've rested or dried out. 5 3
