Popular Post Çnote Posted April 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2022 Part I - why I don't smoke Cohiba Most of the 'Cohiba' I've smoked are fake. Thankfully they were all gifted, so it's not like I was buying glass top Instagram boxes off the beach. From FoH 1/4 boxes and some bombs on the forum, I've been lucky enough to try the real deal SigI SigIII and SigV. Great stuff. Can I order on demand?, no 2424 doesn't work that way. Oh, they cost twice the price of everything else I like? Yawn, Cohiba. What I have gotten from Cohiba is honey, citrus, twang and balance. Thus I do present: Sobremesa Brulee. I picked the Toro as it came to the top of the box first when I shook. I try to keep DC of these around as well, but that's not super fair as Cohiba doesn't roll a DC. I thought this may be a good substitute for a SigVI. I've had this one for about 6 months. It's creamy, honeyed and balanced. It has some orange zest which is kinda twangy to me. Is this a Cohiba. No. Is it a CC? No. But, I can order these for a fair price for cigars just like I can order fairly priced cigars on 2424 anyday and get alot of bang for the buck. Pic is roughly 1/3 done Honey, toasted nuts, cream, citrus. Some forest floor unami, pleasantly mushroomy. Almost a twang, or maybe that's me being generously hopeful. What this doesn't have is Cohiba's ceiling. It's pretty much as good as it's going to get, especially if you are going to try to age long term. I would not try this in 10 years with a bunch of expectations. To me, this a very good cigar that has enough similarities to Cohiba that at plentiful availability and half price is a great alternative. I'll give this one a 92 as the Mavs are hanging in. It's all subjective to mood and environmental conditions anyway. Coming tomorrow: Part II, or Dr Strangelove loved Cohibas 18
El Presidente Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Very nice review. Love the flavour profile you described. Will track one or two down when in Miami. 1 1

Thanks, high praise indeed. Try the DC and the Brulee Blue if you can find it. The Brulee Blue is supposedly Saka's attempt to reconstruct Davidoff Dom Perignon... 1
Dynamo320 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Having a Blue now. Without doubt, one of my favorites. 1

I considered a brulee blue, but I only have one left and frankly was underwhelmed, but attributed this more to humidor conditioning than to the cigar itself. Throw up a review!!!!
Huckleberry Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 I really enjoy this cigar although I doubt I have smoked one properly humidified. Most of the time this is what I pull when I visit a lounge. One of these days I will buy two and store the second correctly for about 6 months and see where it takes me. I have never had a Dom Perignon but I have had the B Blue and if the Dom was similar then hats off to both blenders. Both the B and the B blue are must haves from the nc world IMHO. 1
