Ok members I have a challenge.

Our company CEO is gracing our shores with a visit in March. He is the CEO of Sensis (eg. Telstras business wing)

First Question:

Do you think that most corporate CEO's would enjoy a cigar? I figured yes.

Second Question:

Would it be too 'Kiss-Ass' for a Sales Consultant like myself to give a cigar to him when he comes?

Third Question:

Please give me a suggestion of one stellar cigar to give him, bare in mind that due to my tiny income I say ONE stellar cigar, and one that I can buy through the Czar.

I Was thinking Cohiba Siglo VI what do you think?

P.S. If anyone knows him that would be even better. I think he is Sydney based.

depending on the bloke involved, it does sound a little kiss-ass. if you can somehow work a dinner and then offer him one at the end of that, would work better. then if he doesn't, easy for him to say no. and it all looks a lot less like said kiss-ass.

Do your research Ross. Do a web search on him....amazing what you can find out.

First Question:

Do you think that most corporate CEO's would enjoy a cigar? I figured yes. Agreed

Second Question:

Would it be too 'Kiss-Ass' for a Sales Consultant like myself to give a cigar to him when he comes? Have one ready but the offer must be natural. Don't push the situation. When you meet him be it in your office, lunch or dinner, have 2 cigars peeking out of your top pocket. Cohiba Siglo VI Tubes are a best bet and should be back in stock at that time. No-one can miss a Siglo VI tube out of the top pocket. He comments....you pass him one.

Secondly, have your humidor on your office desk next to the photo of your family and three magazines. Divine (food, wine and cigars) + Cigar Aficionado + Epicure. I will give you copies of each.

Whiteboard in your office to be current with objectives ticked. Have one appointment circled for a 7pm Charity dinner next week + one dinner appointment for a Cigar Dinner + one for an after hours Sales Seminar.

You will look like a well rounded cultural and socially attuned go getter

:-D

Rob,

Great advice, thank you very much. You can't half tell I am trying to get a promotion.

I will take your advice. First though I need to get a whiteboard for the office + a humidor in the office. Other than that I am set

These days I seem to run up against non-smoking execs more times than not. All good advise though - great choice of cigar.

As long as he is not a hard core anti smoker - you should snorkle well :-D

Good luck!

» Hmmm... I'd smoke the Siglo VI and the CEO could kiss my ass.

»

» On second thought, skip the cigar and get him a hooker.

:rotfl:Now that's sound advice...but give him the Siglo 6 tubos, could be a great sex toy...or an extra safe condom.

Sig VI tubos is a great idea IMO.

1) It's of a manly size (unlike a Monte Joyita)

2) It is a prestige brand (unlike Jose L. Piedra)

3) It has a classy appearance (unlike a Partagas Presidente)

4) If he never smokes it, it'll keep safe in that tube for a long time (unlike a bare stick)

Great choice.
