1967-1979. Tough to narrow it down further without physically seeing it. 

You don't see too many vintage varnished 8-9-8 boxes for some reason. I don't know if production was low but you would expect to see more of them although there were only a handful of cigars available in that format (RA 898, Party 898, LGC MdO 1-4).

You can clearly see the quality of the wood in those days and pre-Rev was much higher. That wood looks like the deck wood from a royal navy ship.
