Spaceman Spiff Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 I just had a quick question to those with experience with Custom Cuban cigars which is...what do you find is the best humidity for them prior to smoking, generally speaking? I am curious because I like to keep my Habanos at 62ish prior to smoking (some even lower, like R&J Cazadores) whereas I like my NCS at 65. I suspect they would perform more like Habanos Cubans but figured it couldn't hurt to check. As you can probably tell, I'm new to the world of Customs but I hope to be lighting a few up this summer, and just wanted to ensure the most optimal smoking experience as possible. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback!
Chucko8 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Personally I like to take them into the 62% box prior to smoking. Store them otherwise at 65%. All a matter of personal preferences though. It won't hurt for you to try a few a varying ranges if you have sufficient and find your sweet spot. 1 1
garbandz Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 usually when I get customs they are young and a bit moist. I have smoked a few before they have dried down to the level at which I store my sticks ,but generally if they are under 68 % I have no problems. you should be fine if you store them like your other CCs. 1
