H.U. Coni 1 GEM AGO 21

In reading that thread about the ROTT coni 1 I was inspired to fire up a stick from that 1/4 box I got from 24:24. Best stick of 2022 for me so far!

I did do the freezer trick before I smoked it for 20 minutes. I will try one right out of the humidor next time to see if there is a difference. 

Draw had a bit of resistance which is what I like.

1st third opened up with cream,a bit of cedar,and toasted tobacco. Some bit of a nutty flavor on the retrohale.  Fantastic tasting smoke!

2nd third was creamy and evolved with a little clove spice? Couldn't put my finger on it. But the retro was creamy and nutty and cedar. Impeccable razor sharp burn and perfect ash. 

The final third got a bit of whitepepper,but remained pleasant and creamy until just before the nub when it started burning a little hot. For a cigar this young though,I give it a good 91. I'm definitely going to have to buy a box o these!

I was going to snap a photo of the ash when it was about 2 1/2 inches long and the burn was perfect but right as i grabbed my phone the ash fell.

What is the freezer trick?

If your draw is a little tight you can toss a cigar in the fridge for a couple hours and it can improve it. The freezer you can do like 20 minutes. I read it somewhere here. I really have little experience with this so take my advice with a grain of salt!

Fridge/freezer trick has worked for some plugs but not all.  Certainly worth trying
