Hi everyone,

I just got a new box today of H. Upmann Magnum 54’s (second box this month) and they look great.

That said, there’s an extra code on the back top left corner I’ve never seen before. Any thoughts on this D62 stamp? Is this a new thing?

Check the Habanos website. You may have won a million dollars!

But you have to spend it in Cuba, and they don't accept dollars anymore.

Some kind of code for the wood sheets or maybe some kind of test stamp mark from the box stamper. Just a weird isolated production quirk. I can't specifically recall seeing something similar myself but I might have and forgot.

I'm flying to Havana now to collect my prize!

Appreciate the info! Looks like it was made with same equipment as the factory/date code so could indeed be a test stamp mark like you say. Another factory quirk to take note of I guess.

Have seen it many times.

Anecdotally, it seems to be on boxes from the grey market that don't have any health warning or other stickers that would indicate which market the boxes originally came from. Infer from that whatever you will. My sample size is not big enough to draw any real conclusions.

There it is. This has been most informative!

Cheers Rob. Do you know what the significance of it is? ie, what do they use it for?
