SLR Regios LAT DIC 18 (JBWP4RW)

I don’t have masses of experience with SLR, but I do have a great box of Regios from ORG SEP 15. Those have been uniformly delicious: light, strawberry sponge cake sweet, a total pleasure. They were the last lonely box of SLR in Dubai airport a few years ago, looking intimidated by all the bulging shelves of other more popular marcas.

Today’s smoke was one of a six pack from LAT DIC 18. They look great: quite dark and shiny with a good touch of rosado, nice weight in the hand. Unfortunately, they have all smoked like turds.

This one split at the cap and up the wrapper right away. So we’re sucking in fresh air unless I put the whole thing in my mouth. Then it just keeps on going out. There are flavours, sure. But it’s all a bit heavy and dull. Certainly not the fragrant fruity sweetness I want from these. Relight, puff puff, out, relight, puff puff, out, relight. I get plenty of nicotine.

Obviously this is a 0 on the binary scale, and I can’t say I’m eager to smoke the remaining couple from this batch. Then again, it’s the erratic stimulus that makes this hobby so entertaining.

I have a box of these. Initially they were amazing, then got sick. And the last one I had the burn was brutal.
