Anyone been watching this series. First two episodes are out currently. Admittingly I had not recalled it until I saw the very first teaser about and upon learning more about the original novel, how movies like Star Wars, Dune amongst others were inspired by this book and no one has been able to make a movie on it. A couple months ago I got the audio books and listened to them while driving. I was doubtful that hollywood would follow the book and cut out huge swaths of it. I'm through the first episode in on video and so far it is everything it promises. Stunning eye candy and follows to the book well (So far) and seems to expands slightly. What's your opinion?

Loved the Foundation books--did not know about the series--will keep any eye out.

I do think that Asimov's concept is absurd--I tend to favor the Terence McKenna view of human history--of course he was the guy who predicted the Eschaton in 2012--so we homo sapiens are miserable at predicting the future.
