Popular Post Bijan Posted August 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2021 About a gram over official weight but nice bunching. Wet the wrapper and 9mm punch and draw is good enough without perfecdraw. Paired it with cardamom tea which worked out well given the flavours but a bit too astringent as well, since the cigar was that way too. Throughout the flavours were exotic and middle Eastern. Opened with mastic, slightly bitter mostly pine and some slight cedar. Toward the end of the first third became slightly sweet, mastic flavoured Turkish delight and then very unsweetened vanilla flavour. Second third went back to more bitter. Pine mastic and citrus peel a bit sweeter towards the middle of the second third. Cloves and cardamon. Final third was bitter and savoury herbs. Thai basil, tarragon, fenugreek, coriander, tiny bit of mint towards the end. Rather strong for an almost 20 year old Hoyo cigar. Just over 60 minutes past the band but not quite to a nub. Required touch ups as one side wouldn't burn as well as the other. 4.5/5. Weather was warm for night time 24C/75F 77% humidity. 8
Yigal Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Excellent description Bijan. I felt I was smoking it myself … 1
Meesterjojo Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 That sounds absolutely magical. I'm envious if your ability to taste and smell all that. 1

Thanks I usually only go this crazy when doing reviews. The first one of these I had, I left it at pine/wood flavours. Second one I thought this might be like mastic. This one I really scratched my head and tried to see what every part was like, it's kind of exhausting. Fun to do sometimes for reviews, but not all the time. 1

I love these cigars... but on that note, reading your review would not get me to buy them... -LOL When I read mastic, I don't think of the tree, I am thinking about an oil based tile adhesive!!! You don't want it on your hands, and certainly not on your cigars!!! Cheers! -R 1
