Partagas Short REG OCT 18 (OYMRW)

The Party short is my go-to "gap filler" smoke.  In other words, it's the one I look to for a 45 minute snack between bigger sticks.  Perfect for a breakfast smoke on a 75 degree, multi-stick day, like today.      

Construction and burn are excellent, as always.  Right into the light sweet cream, cedar, toasted tobacco and a bitter dried apricot.  I see paprika used to describe every Party.  Never got that with this, and I doubt I ever will with any Party.  Of course, my wife is Hungarian and we practically snort the stuff, so maybe I'm palate blind on the Paprika.   

Remained medium strength and body throughout.  Took on some rich leather as it warmed, a little vanilla and and kept the light creaminess.   

I got 40 minutes on the nose with this one.  Loved it.  An "A-" on my grading curve. 

The Party Short will have a permanent place in my humi.

Been staple in humi for 15 plus yrs. Smoke em more than anything else. Not really sure what paprika notes people are getting but I do put smoked paprika on a variety of foods daily. Nice review. I have REG 18s and performing well.
