Dead Beetles

For those of you wondering what the dread tobacco beetle looks like, here you go.

The back story is this. The stick is a custom roll from a well known roller. I picked up a bundle of 25 in February of 2020 and froze them in my refrigerator freezer for 4 days to a week. I was keeping them in an empty 50 cab box and needed the space. While transferring the remaining 20 or so sticks, I notice the infamous cave. No other sticks affected and these two dead beetles in the bottom of the box. I wish my phone had a macro focus lens but there you are.

My theory is the two beetles were males who killed each other in a fight over a female beetle.

For anyone who ever thought 7 was a lucky number 💀… also a HLP as evidenced by the newspaper wrappers littering the floor like Christmas…this meant an extended stay reservation on arrival home with freezer. A righteous purge by frost 🐜 🥶 🧊 for everything that couldn’t be washed in hot water and roasted in the laundromat (excluding my better half)… 🤣
