Popular Post Superhans Posted June 27, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 27, 2021 Opted for a little siglo ii from a reliably great tasting box I have from 2019. Wrappers from this box have all been on the darker end of the spectrum. Initial cold draw is tight and jam packed with tobacco. Needed a few pulls from the draw poker straight away. 1/3 opens with a soft spice, leather and sweet maple. Light to medium body and not a great deal of smoke volume. 2/3 noticeably richer. Coffee and more spice. Body is up to medium/maybe a touch above. 3/3 maple syrup flavour reappears along with a pleasant mustiness. One last use of the draw tool solves all. Smoke now plentiful and intensity is up. Flavour wise I can’t really fault the cigar other than a couple of fleeting glimpses at a bitterness on the halfway mark. Problems with the draw held it back but if I didn’t have the draw tool to hand I probably could have done without and still had an enjoyable smoke. All in one of my favourite thinner cigars - just a shame I’ve been drawn toward the shorter plumper smokes lately. All things considered I’ll say 87 is fair but that’s knocking it down on construction. Flavours are sound. Blasting a bit of Stevie Wonder throughout - mainly the Innervisions album. New dog (pictured) is also a big fan. 9
smbauerllc Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Nice review. I love the Siglo II's. Its my goto Cohiba by far due consistancy in every way, and on the cheaper side as far as Cohibas go. Have smoked quite a few 2019's and its one of few smokes I keep more than 2 or 3 of on hand Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 2
