PLPC SEP 17 and Lavazza la crema MM&SRW

Long past three days. Thursday drove all day to Philly. Spent the day w my wife daughter and son as my son prepared for his college graduation on Saturday. Saturday was 42 and rain. In person graduation but outdoors. Done with the celebratory lunch and one car packed by three so I could drive my daughter home. 500 mile drive. Slept in my own bed last night. She is getting a Covid test so she can go abroad Tuesday am. Wife and son finished packing yesterday and are driving home today.
I went to the Coolidor to pick out some celebratory cigars for this week - Espy, Esmerelda, etc on tap. Saw a 2017 box of PLPC I had not touched in a while. Sounds like breakfast to me.
when last visited these cigars had a bit of mongrel. No more. A beautiful creamy cigar from the start. Paired with black coffee. The cigar had all of the cream and sweetness I wanted. Hints of caramel emerged in the second half. Now I’m glad these came in cabs of 50’s

i enjoy traditions. One of which is going to what has been a roughly biannual trip w my son to the Star Wars convention known as celebration. this mug is a great reminder for me. We have been to five over the years. It seemed fitting to use this mug today as well. The show is like Comic-Con but just for Star Wars. Lots of interesting holes to dive into, like college. One year we focused on how they create the art behind the stories. Another on story development. A third listening to those who collect various things like toys. Interesting people to meet and like this cigar and coffee tremendously enjoyable.
Given the graduation I have been in a contemplative mood. This cigar and coffee were an excellent morning pairing.
