did the early walk this morning. not looking like such a pleasant day but no matter.

 

amazed to see an explosion in pelican numbers. i'd call a 50% increase an explosion. 

at one stage we had four gulls, three pelicans, two sea eagles and a grumpy crab defending the beach. it was like an aussie 12 days of christmas. 

on the way back, numbers had exploded again, and that does not include the one elegantly gliding overhead.

yes, i'm sure that pep and all then fans are wandering about saying, its okay, we lost the champions but don't worry because we don't have to face arsenal in the CL next year. and after being continually tipped by those easybeats, chelsea, i can understand why!

I certainly am.  Cant remember a better penalty battle.  Should have lost that game in extra time anyways.

Guess you don’t remember those Arsenal/Bayern memes of the round of 16.  Maybe they didn’t make it to Australia.  How many times was Bayern the beneficiary? That 10-2 showing was just frosting.

i can honestly say i have no recollection of any such memes. did we play them? i don't recall us losing 10-2 but then i don't follow as closely as i should.
