Popular Post djrey Posted May 11, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2021 Weather on the East Coast USA has been unseasonably cold for months now (besides a few warmer days). High 50's and wind now define May, which is about 20 below the norm. Cigar choices are typically staying Robusto or smaller. Todays will be a new favorite of mine. Cigar starts out with a blast of pepper and coffee. sitting right about medium bodied out of the gate. Nice! Second third shows a good bit of wood as the primary flavors, coffee and pepper in the background. Final third and the wood is still dominant but some of the bitter tannins begin to show. I am fine with this as I prefer stronger cigars. A nice even burn resulted in 1.25 hr burn time. A great example that will improve with some more sleep. 92 pts 12
Chas.Alpha Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 The 2019 cab I brought back in Oct. '19 have just now started to spread their wings. I've promised myself that I'd leave them down for another 9-12 months, but I lie to myself all of the time! Great stick! 1 1
Mickey D Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 I enjoyed the same this morning. MTS Feb 20 Most of the profile I experienced was through retrohale. Mine started with a little black pepper and hints of batter. Much of the notes throughout the cigar were spiced gumdrops with an occasional bit of cinnamon, citrus and fruit. very good burn, with a couple touch ups to even it up. Reminded me of a HDM Epi2, very enjoyable. 1
Focal_Banger Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 That looks mighty fine! I'm still waiting for some to pop up on 24:24, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Enjoy!
