Just a quick update, I forgot to put the paper with the list of the original 31 cigars from when the pass started back in the box.

It should be more or less identical to what was in this post:

Hello,

Here's the updated list. The box is currently making its way back to the Greater Montreal Area. Francis should receive the box tomorrow.

There are some great cigars in there!

I met with Francis at lunch time and now have the box in my possession. There seems to be lots of cigars in there - thanks! I will be going through all the cigars and try to reconcile with the list.

It was a fun box pass (and a first for many participants) during the last stretch of Covid restrictions.

Thanks to everyone for your participation!

Hello,

Here's the last updated lists - list of the takes below. This really went smoothly. It should become a yearly event!

Thanks again,

Hello,

Just did a quick reconciliation and I really feel like a kid let loose in a candy store.
Thanks to everyone for the extra sticks, they all look fantastic- although I am not too sure of what 2-3 are...

Have a great weekend!

Because I believe that Excel is the best invention since sliced bread I ran some stats.

Marcas that were traded the most, average trade value / marca and # of cigars per production year. FDC stands for Flor de Cano - it was the Regional... Cus were the 2 customs. Robustos (petit edmundo, double, robusto extras...) appear to be the most common vitolas.

@treberty in the gift box, there are some unbanded cigars in the same bag. It's a selection of customs from Alfonso. Forgot to mention them anywhere. Thanks for organizing the pass!

Hello gents,

Just curious to know if you have discovered some new favourites or, on the opposite, if you were disappointed by a white whale that you were able to grab during the pass?

Personally, I discovered some of Alfonso's customs - really good.

Cheers!

I don't smoke a lot of Petit Robustos, so the Petit Edmundo and the Vigia were new to me. I liked the Petit Edmundo a lot, maybe better than any of the Edmundos and Double Edmundos I've had so far. The Vigia didn't work out so well.

I smoked the two RyJ's I picked.

The 2015 Churchill was pretty good. I didn't like the 2016 LE (Capuletos). Just wasn't a good cigar.
