Popular Post FlyingGlass Posted April 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2021 One of those beautiful early spring days and it was time to crack open this box. I’m sure some of our more experienced brothers and sisters would rightly suggest these were a bit past their peak. Nonetheless, nothing to lament or complain about here...this was one of my favorites of the past several years. Barnyard out of the box...as in the farm was right there. Beautiful wrapper with the oils and sheen showing off what was to come. First third was cream, leather, and wood. Second third was cream, chocolate and bit of leather. Final third was a chocolatey, vanilla cream bomb. Everything was working together. Burn was even and the smoke voluminous. Nothing overwhelming or trying to push its way to the front of the line here. This cigar wasn’t just balanced...what I experienced was something more. This Montes flavors had been melded, simmered, and joined together in complimentary ways that I’ve only experienced a few times before. Put me in a place of genuine appreciation. Not even the sign of a possible let down along the way. Cracking 95-96 cigar, hands down. 10
smbauerllc Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Nice review The Montecristo no.2 is one of my few all time favorite smokes. Never had one with more than a couple years age, but they have still always tasted great Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 2

Unfortunately my regular vendor recently raised all their prices so they are right on the edge of my self imposed price limit nowI'm a huge fan of all the Montecristos. Haven't had one i didn't really enjoy, including the Open line which isn't popular at all Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 1
Cairo Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Thanks for the review--good to see these can handle long term aging. 2
