Popular Post sho671 Posted April 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 4, 2021 It's starting to warm up around here which means I can start smoking in the evening when the sun goes down again. I always have a few Short Churchills hanging around and decided to pull some out for a couple buddies and one of their dads. The pre-light draw was a little tight, but it opened up after lighting up. First and second third brought out some bread and cream notes. The last third is when I started to pick up some cherry, especially on the retro. Burn was good throughout. I touched it up a couple times, but it was more for aesthetics vs performance. 2/5. 5
smbauerllc Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Nice.I have only recently discovered the RyJ Short Churchills, and have only had a few, all from 2020 also, and really enjoyed them and all had great burn, draw and construction. Will definitely be getting more to keep some on hand Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
griller Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I enjoyed a Short Churchill from a 10-count 2020 box yesterday afternoon, and got overtones of Cafe con Leche, red pepper spice, and some fruitiness that was cherry-esque. Draw was perfect, but I really had to manage the burn on the lettered side of the labels in order to avoid a badly uneven burn. This shortened the smoke time to about 50 minutes, but the cigar never overheated and I didn't toss until it got to the red label. Need to compare some other 2020 robustos to see where this one should fit in my rotation, but was very pleased with this model.

Cuba seems to be on a good run the last couple years Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
