Popular Post Chibearsv Posted March 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 19, 2021 Enjoyed this little beauty last night. I've had several boxes of the Romeo DeLuxes over the past several years and I've really enjoyed them. One of my favorite ELs. One of the reasons I enjoy them so much is that the construction on every example I've smoked (over 25) has been perfect and this one is no different. Beautiful Rosado wrapper and perfect draw with a punch cutter. This is one where the removal of the cap left a divot in the top of the cigar. I always think that's a good sign. 1st third starts with a little bitterness in the first couple of puffs but that disappears pretty quickly in favor of a sweet cedar flavor. Medium strength and body with pure white smoke. Absolutely perfect burn. I could push the ash length further but I'd rather enjoy the cigar in general. 2nd third strengthens slightly and the density of the smoke gets fuller. Flavors are a blend of sweet, floral, and a bit of spicy bite, very nice Final third and the smoke output is amazing along with the strength. Good buzz going on and the cigar is all woody, sweet anise, and white pepper. Not punch you in the mouth flavorful, but they're all there. A really nice smoke for me and a solid A. For me, a cigar that might not be the greatest cigar I've ever had in my life but it's tasty and otherwise perfect in that it has no real flaws. Just a solid performer and exactly what I expected. 8
