Romeo y Julieta Sports Largos x2 REG NOV 18 (L&SRW1)

This is another go-to short smoke for me. One of a few short Panetelas left.

I smoked the first one but it was quite uncharacteristic of what the rest of the box had been like (charcoal, cherry, and sometimes rosewater and turkish delight) so smoked another one a little later.

First one was overweight by 1g, which is a fair bit given that the official weight is about 5g.

Went with 9mm punch. Draw ended up being a bit tight, wish I'd have used the perfecdraw.

First third: started with the charcoal and cherry, cough syrup flavour of Romeo and Juliet but quickly turned sharper, especially on the retrohale. With a cayenne, capsicum, paprika edge. Not the flavours, just the pungentness.

Second third: was mainly woody, pencil shavings type wood, and still sharp.

Final third: had some cinnamon in with the pungent flavour.

1.5/5 maybe 2/5. 35 minutes.

Second one was a bit light. Went with 9mm punch again.

First third: starts pretty much the same way, charcoal, cherry and some light wood. My lips and gums are still tingling from the first one from 2 hours ago. This is when I realize these two have had quite a nicotine kick to them. I used to notice this much more with RyJ cigars when I smoked less often, tingling often. Hadn't had it hit me in quite a while since.

Second third: has much more cherry, a tiny bit sour. Some cinnamon.

Final third: Turkish delight (with sweet rosewater flavour)  and some melon.

3/5 to 3.5/5. 45 minutes.

Good review Bijan. I like that you chief-ed down two back to back. I can honestly say i have never had a RyJ SL. Gonna have to try one

I've generally had good luck with Sports Largos. Been a few years but I'm usually happy. Those and the Belvederes are my go-to small RyJs.

I don't think I've ever had a bad one. I'd have to say Belvederes might be the best CC under $4 (unless you find the RG Perlas under $4.)
